Our Commitment
Saptarishi Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for employees of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to the SRS ESS portal.
We believe that all employees — regardless of disability, assistive technology use, or access conditions — deserve equal access to the tools they need to do their work. Accessibility is not a compliance checklist but a design principle we apply from the ground up.
This statement applies to the SRS ESS portal hosted at its designated internal URL and to all public-facing pages at saptarishi.tech.
Standards We Follow
The SRS ESS portal aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and explain how to make web content more accessible.
Perceivable: Content is presented in ways users can perceive — including through text alternatives, captions, and adaptable presentation.
Operable: All functionality is available via keyboard, with sufficient time and no seizure-inducing content.
Understandable: Text is readable and predictable. Input assistance is provided for forms and errors.
Robust: Content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies including screen readers and switch navigation.

Keyboard Navigation
The entire SRS ESS portal can be navigated using a keyboard alone. The following key bindings are supported throughout:
Move focus to the next interactive element
Move focus to the previous interactive element
Activate a focused button or link
Toggle checkboxes, activate buttons
Close modals, dropdowns, and dialogs
Navigate within menus, tabs, and lists
Text Sizing & Contrast
All text in the portal can be resized up to 400% using browser zoom without loss of content or functionality. Text does not become clipped, overlapped, or truncated at high zoom levels.
Colour contrast: All body text maintains a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background. Large text (18pt or 14pt bold) maintains a minimum ratio of 3:1, as required by WCAG 2.1 AA.
Colour independence: Colour is never the sole means of conveying information. Status indicators, form errors, and chart legends always include a text label or icon alongside colour coding.
Text spacing: The portal supports custom text spacing adjustments (letter spacing, line height, word spacing, paragraph spacing) without content loss, as required by WCAG 1.4.12.
Screen Reader Support
The portal is built with semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to support screen reader users. The following practices are implemented throughout:
Page titles: Every page has a unique, descriptive title announced by screen readers on load.
Live regions: Dynamic content updates (notifications, form errors, success messages) use ARIA live regions so changes are announced without requiring focus movement.
Modal dialogs: All modals trap focus correctly, announce their purpose via aria-labelledby, and restore focus to the trigger element on close.
Data tables: All tables include proper th scope attributes and caption elements where appropriate.
If you encounter a specific screen reader issue, please report it using the contact details in the Feedback section below. Include the screen reader name, version, browser, and a description of the problem.
